Stateline State of Mind
WE’RE ALL IN – WHAT WE’RE COMMITTED TO
“Stateline State of Mind” means reimagining the barbecue experience, which includes not only signature food but also community, sustainability, and responsibly sourced ingredients. Our driving motto is “GOTTA WANT’IT”. This simple statement dictates everything we do here at Stateline Road Smokehouse.
Sustainability
Stateline Road Smokehouse was intended from the start to create more than a restaurant, but a community that welcomes everyone from locals to those visiting from far away. Part of that commitment means caring for our neighbors in Napa. We host a range of organizations for “Dine and Donate” events where we donate 10% of sales to a cause, from local schools to animal shelters or sports teams.
We are also dedicated to working with youth and exciting their passion for entrepreneurship and giving back. We have hosted groups of young people at the restaurant, where founder and chef Darryl Bell has spoken to them about the Stateline story and how they can bring principles of hard work and commitment to a passion of their own.
Community
We look for every opportunity to incorporate sustainability into how we run Stateline. Our dining tables are a great example, produced from repurposed wood sourced from Napa’s old Bel Air Bowling Alley. They bring a touch of local history to the dining experience while also turning wood that would have been discarded into something useful and beautiful. Oak wine barrel staves assist in fueling our smokers, another re-purposing of materials that would otherwise have gone to waste. Looked at through a sustainable lens, even our used oil is given a new purpose, by being converted into clean biodiesel and aviation fuel.
